At age 9, I was introduced to soccer and fell in love and by 15 I was on the starting squad for the U-18 Team Ontario. I was scouted by several teams from the United States of America, and chose to attend Georgia Southern University, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. During my soccer career I sustained 3 ACL repairs and 3 concussions, which forced me to put my soccer career on hold. I turned my attention to Physiotherapy after that, having always dreamed of becoming a Physiotherapist. The combination of learning the intricacies of the human body, injuries and how to rehabilitate them, as well as optimizing athletes performance abilities, was and continues to be my passion. I attended McMaster University from 2005-2007 and received my Master of Science in Physiotherapy. I went on to expand my knowledge of treatment options by getting certified in STOTT Pilates, Active Release Technique, Manual Therapy, Baptiste Power Yoga, ktape and custom bracing. After extensive research and personal experience, I created a neuromuscular warm-up to prevent ACL injuries in female soccer players. I am also the founder of Kinetic Physio-Yoga Therapy (PYT) and Kinetic Physio-Pilates Therapy (PPT). I created the Kinetic PYT and PPT  programs because of my passion for preventing and healing injuries. These programs extend our therapy services beyond manual therapy, modalities, and exercise therapy. Being an athlete at heart with limiting injuries, I've turned to Pilates, yoga and cycling as a means of rehabilitation and wellness. I believe that any training regimen should include proper core activation and pelvic stabilization, and I look forward to passing this great experience off to all my clients!

I am a yoga teacher and freelance writer with a passion for making change in the world around me, one yoga student at a time! When I'm not encouraging my students to stretch their minds and bodies on their mats, I'm writing about ways to find peace and happiness in this life. Before I started teaching yoga, I was a TV news reporter, whose daily task was to get 'the scoop' on the latest breaking news. It was fast-paced, challenging and rewarding but, as I uncovered, it wasn't my true purpose in life. It took some courage and faith to change my path, but I'm happier than I've ever been-- living in authenticity and freedom! Now, I've made it my life's mission to challenge others to step up to their personal greatness and do what they love with their lives. Take one of my transformative classes to sweat out the old and breathe in the new!

The reasons that people come to yoga are as numerous and varied as the people themselves. The one unified outcome is that as a result of coming onto our mats, we all feel good that we did. In the past 10 years and even more recently in the last 7 years (as a result of being introduced to “hot yoga”), yoga has become more than just a physical practice of postures or asanas for me. I have discovered, learned and integrated the meaning of yoga into my life. The term 'yoga' is derived from the literary meaning of “yoking together a span of horses or oxen”. Today, the term can be applied to yoking mind, body and spirit. My own personal daily practice expanded my curiosity to know more and understand why I felt the way I felt. I soon realized there was no better way to fully immerse myself in yoga than to attend a Teacher’s Training. In 2012, I registered for my RYT200 Teacher’s Training in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. I enjoy teaching Vinyasa, Hatha flow, Restorative and Yin, paying particular attention to alignment and breath. It’s important to me that my students have a positive experience, feel encouraged, yet challenged and look forward to coming back to their mats! The “yoking” of my professional coaching skills and my ability to now guide students of all ages, shapes and sizes in their yoga practice was a natural fit. I am truly blessed to be a part of the Kinetic Yoga Team.

I started doing yoga 5 years ago and fell in love. I signed up for a teacher training program not intending to teach, but simply to learn as much as I could about the practice that has given me so much. Yoga helped me heal from addiction and depression, and led me to a whole new way of being that I am excited to share with everyone. I consider it a privilege to be able to share the benefits of yoga with others, and the community at Kinetic is amazing. I'm proud to be a part of such a great team. Hope to see you on your mat!

Working with clients of all ages and backgrounds, I focus on tailoring programs to meet their specific needs and goals.

I grew up as a competitive gymnast and developed a love for movement at an early age. Dealing with many injuries over the years, I turned to pilates and yoga to help heal my body.

With a background in resistance training, pilates and yoga I pride myself on keeping my sessions as unique as each individual I work with.

I believe in empowerment. Transformation. Love. Magic and the Divine. Playfullness. Stepping into your fullest potential and living the life you're meant to live. Vulnerability. Stoking your inner fire. I believe in yoga, the Chakras, meditation, creativity and deep soul flowing. I believe that yoga is for everyone.

I hold a diploma as a physiotherapy assistant and am on my way to becoming a certified Total Barre instructor. While training and treating clients, I'm able to draw on my experience, knowledge and education to help clients from all fitness backgrounds, especially those with injuries and limitations. I've had the opportunity to work with, and learn from, some of the best professionals in the Pilates industry and Physiotherapy community. This allows me to provide clients with the highest standard of instruction and rehabilitation.
